The Red Wings held a 2-0 lead deep into the third period but let it slip away as the Lightning scored twice in a span of about a minute. Gustav Nyquist and Joakim Andersson scored for Detroit and Petr Mrazek stopped 26 shots. Game Five is Saturday in Tampa Bay. Capitals 5, Islanders 1 Rookie center Evgeny Kuznetsov scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Capitals to a 5-1 win over the New York Islanders that gave them a 3-2 advantage in their first round playoff series. Karl Alzner, Brooks Laich and Jason Chimera also scored for the Capitals, who can clinch the best-of-seven series with a victory Saturday in New York. Predators 5, Blackhawks 2 Filip Forsberg netted a hat trick and Nashville scored three goals in a 2:27 span early in the third period to stave off elimination in Game Five of their Western Conference first round series with the Chicago Blackhawks. David Jones scored for Calgary. Facing elimination, the Canucks outshot the Flames by a two-to-one margin and refused to be intimidated by Calgary's bruising style.
