Innovation and flexibility are at the heart of “Charmaleena” designs in an effort to reflect the needs and desire of the contemporary woman who loves her options. With five collections on the shelves Charmaleena is growing with a fast and steady pace. Charmaleena offers three main collections in addition to the Cal-love-graphy and Petite collections. Charmaleena designs jewellery that has messages and meanings which people can connect and relate to. The center of the brand, according to Leena, is positivity, good energy and love which come in parallel with the collections' profiles. The Freedom Collection was inspired by the spirited person, dreams and aspiration to new heights. In Leena's opinion, the artist needs to be free and unrestricted. The Sword of Love Collection was inspired by strength since the sword is a symbol of strength that Leena always like and wanted to present in a very soft way. Thus, she created an elegant sword which, according to her, is one of the most well-received collections abroad. “I want women around the world to feel strong. This is the “sword of love” which means you can solve your issues and be strong by being lovable,” said Leena. The Key to My Heart Collection was conceived when Leena was in the Love-lock Bridge in Paris and happened to be in love at the time. “I believe every person has a key to their heart and I wanted a symbol that resembled that. This collection is for anyone who wants to share their love with someone. Be it mother, sister, daughter or a significant other,” added Leena. As part of these collections come the Cal-love-graphy and Petite collections. The Petite collection offers bracelets to the little ones from the three main collections to match their mothers. The Cal-love-graphy collection is inspired by Arabic words and poetry that complement the three main collections; for the Freedom Collection Leena used Arabic poetry representing freedom was used to design a bracelet. “I'm an Arab, a Muslim, and a Saudi and Charmaleena is an international brand so I created this collection in parallel to all the other collections to portray the Arabic language, the beauty of it and the strength of words in an attractive way. I used words that people live by or believe in so I wanted the words to touch your skin like a tattoo,” added Leena with passion in her eyes. Haya AlSunaidi, head of the committee organizing the event, appreciated the positive approach of the exhibitors and the customers. “We at the Jewelry Salon Exhibition encourage also the amateur and novice designers … so that they can even set up a stall in upcoming exhibitions,” Haya added. — SG
