Al Issa holds audience in raptures at Toastmaster event

ALKHOBAR — Toastmasters Division ‘F' Annual Speech Contests were held at Moibed Carlton Hotel here recently in which members from different toastmasters clubs and guests too participated and made the evening vibrant and colorful. All the contestants dazzled the audience with their skill, humor and oratory.
The event began with a colorful banner parade where the leaders of (16) clubs marched with their club banners amid thunderous applause.
The contestants who had moved to Division ‘F' Level after winning first positions at their respective Area levels dazzled the audience with their public speaking skills. A total of 24 Toastmasters had participated in the contests under four categories — International speeches, Table Topics Speeches, Humorous Speeches and Evaluation Speeches.
Dr. Forizuddin Ahmed was the first place winner in the International Speech Contest, whereas, B. Maheshwaran and Sivasakthi Ganesh won 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in this segment.
Redwan Amin Hameed won the first place in Table Topics contest; Christopher Jayakumar and Mohammed Asim Baig were adjudged second and third place winners respectively in this contest.
Binu Baby was adjudged the first place winner in Humorous Speech Contest, whereas, Prabhakaran Bhaskaran and Mohammed Abdul Saleem won the second and third place winners respectively in this category. Sivasakthi Ganesh won the first place in Evaluation Speech Contest; Raheema Mustafa and Safi H. Jannaty were the second and third place winners respectively in this contest.
In his welcome address, the Division F Governor, (D) Abdul Gafoor highlighted the achievements of Division ‘F” during the year and highlighted the names of Madhuram Malayalam Club and Urdu Toastmasters Club which have gained the highest distinction a club can attain, President's Distinguished Club.
District 79 Governor, (D) Joey Villaneua addressed the contestants, assignees and attendees. He inspired them to excel in their toastmasters journey.
The highlight of the event was motivational talk by Bahrain-based, D Khalid Al Quod, a renowned motivational speaker in the region.
One of the popular humorists in the Toastmasters Fraternity, D Mohammed Al Issa of Saudi Aramco sent audience into raptures with his humorous talk and anecdotes.
A senior Toastmaster Balachandran Pillai, who was the conference chair, conducted the contest. D Venkatasan Devarajan was the chief judge of the contest and was assisted by a panel of judges.
