MAKKAH — The municipality has reported that the rate of health violations in restaurants and food warehouses has decreased over the past few weeks.
Makkah Municipality's Director General for Environmental Health Mohammad Al-Fawtawi said during the last inspection campaign the municipality issued fewer health violations than usual.
“Our inspection campaigns are ongoing and the municipality delegates inspection officers and health experts from its branch offices,” said Al-Fawtawi.
He added the general public should be aware of some basic health procedures when it comes to buying and consuming food.
He said: “People should not eat any exposed food and be conscious of the expiration date.
“Whenever anyone comes across any health violations in restaurants, grocery shops and warehouses, they must report it to the municipality in order for us to maintain a safe and healthy society.”
