ikonhouse set to launch ‘Workspace-of-Tomorrow'
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 20 - 04 - 2015

DMG events Middle East & Asia, organizers of workspace at INDEX, announced Sunday that ikonhouse will be launching the Workspace-of-Tomorrow installation at this year's show – a first in the event's 14 year history. Formerly The Office Exhibition, workspace at INDEX is the largest commercial interiors fit-out and design exhibition in the Middle East. It is the premium showcase for high-end products and services which combine to create outstanding working environments.
Organized by dmg events, the show attracts thousands of top tier architectural and interior design firms and end-users from the Middle East and beyond. The 14th annual edition of workspace at INDEX, taking place alongside INDEX on May 18-21, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will include a wider range of products and services to reflect the ever expanding market and different working environments across the general office/commercial, healthcare, and educational design, fit out, and upgrade sectors.
Known for its stylish and minimalist design collections, ikonhouse will be unveiling a concept called Workspace-of-Tomorrow, where form and function come together to enable collaboration, productivity and promote health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Frederique Maurell, Group Event Director for INDEX and workspace at INDEX, said: “We are extremely pleased that ikonhouse will be partnering with this year's workspace at INDEX. The renowned quality of ikonhouse's furniture, lighting and smart control will all be available to see first-hand and the ikonhouse team will be able to provide invaluable insights into design of the future in the workplace.”
There will be a host of luxury design and technology brands at the ikonhouse installation located at ZX100 including Montana, Erco and Louis Poulsen, Abstracta, and LG. The brands will all form a part of the concept, which will demonstrate the ability of new technologies in the workplace alongside cutting-edge design and wellbeing research. For example, scientific research has shown that the human skeletal and muscular systems do not fare well when sat for long periods of time and it is better to have a standing work environment rather than seated. Ikonhouse will share how to make a standing work environment possible for an individual and an enterprise as a whole thus promoting worker wellbeing and enhancing productivity.
Dorian Pauwels, Partner, Executive Director, ikonhouse, said: Workspace at INDEX remains the region's largest commercial interior's exhibition. As ikonhouse is growing to become an institution for true design on the Dubai scene, we did not want to miss the opportunity to share the latest developments in office equipment for a healthy, productive and collaborative working environment. We will be sharing how the office of today is growing into the workspace of tomorrow. — SG
