A burgeoning GCC real estate sector collectively valued at $1 trillion inclusive of residential, retail, leisure and commercial sectors is driving the demand for fit outs in the region announced CMPi UAE, organizers of Fit-Out Middle East scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center on Nov. 17-18,2008. Chris Fountain, group director of CMPi said: “The economies of the region are booming due to a combination of factors including a high liquidity environment resulting from high petroleum revenues, low interest rates, and the government's efforts to diversify from its economic dependence on oil and gas as well as significant budget surpluses.” He noted that this investment environment had resulted in increased expenditure on major infrastructure projects, expanding the region's tourist offering, and residential/commercial development projects. Given the amount of construction underway, there is great demand for fit-outs and CMPi's event focuses on the final stages of construction and development. Taking place in November 2008, the show will run alongside the established Working Buildings Middle East exhibition and conference series, in order to deliver the right mix of senior buyers and decision makers from across the Middle East region and beyond. Exhibitors will include contractors, shop-fitters, manufacturers and interior design agencies. Visitors will be those responsible for the design and function of commercial and retail space, including developers, architects, designers, facilities professionals and operations managers. The Fit-Out sector is directly aligned to the boom in construction now taking place across the Gulf region. __
