7,000 labor law violators arrested

JEDDAH — About 7,000 labor and residency law violators have been arrested in inspection campaigns against shops and businesses in the Makkah region so far, according to Lt. Col. Ati Atiyyah Al-Qarashi, spokesman for Makkah Region Police. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Othman Al-Souli, director of Makkah Region Police, and with the participation of the labor office. Al-Qarashi stressed that the campaign will continue and severe penalties will be imposed on violators of the law.
