13,000 illegals arrested in EP

DAMMAM — About 13,000 workers from different nationalities have been arrested for violations related to residency regulations, according to Eastern Province Police spokesman Lt. Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti. Most of the workers were caught not working for their original sponsors. Lt. Col. Al-Ruqaiti stressed that police will continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Labor's inspectors to nab violators, urging expatriates to comply with residency regulations.
