CHRISTCHURCH — Backrower Michael Leitch scored one try and created another as the Chiefs beat the Crusaders 26-9 Friday to move atop the table in Super Rugby. Leitch scored the first try of the match in the 20th minute and then provided a flick pass from the ground that set winger James Lowe on a 70-meter dash to the tryline just before halftime. His efforts gave the Hamilton-based Chiefs an 18-6 lead at halftime. They were able to secure the match with a try from replacement Liam Squire 10 minutes from time. The Chiefs' seventh win of the season took them to the top of the table at the start of the tournament's 10th round. — AP
