Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and King Hamad Bin Isa of Bahrain on Thursday reviewed close brotherly relations between the two countries.
Talks between the two leaders also centered on the latest developments in the region.
The two leaders met prior to a luncheon hosted by King Salman for the Bahraini dignitary and his accompanying delegation at Al-Ouja Palace in Diriyah on the outskirts of Riyadh.
The banquet was attended by Crown Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, deputy premier; Prince Turki Al-Faisal; Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, emir of Riyadh region; several princes and senior officials.
In his arrival statement, King Hamad stressed that efforts and initiatives of King Salman have had a profound impact on the security of the region. He said that these efforts are part of the pioneering and continuing leadership role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On relations between the two countries, King Hamad said Bahrain was committed to maintaining close brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia and its people.
Later in the day, King Hamad was seen off at Riyadh airport by King Salman, Crown Prince Muqrin, Prince Faisal, Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy crown prince, second deputy premier and minister of interior; Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah, minister of National Guard; Prince Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah, deputy minister of foreign affairs; and other senior princes and officials. — SPA
