CUSTODIAN of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad and his accompanying delegation at Auja Palace in Diriyah on the outskirts of Riyadh on Thursday.
The King and the Qatari dignitary toured the Auja Palace and saw historical photos of late King Abdulaziz and other relics symbolizing the Kingdom's glorious heritage.
From the palace's balcony, Emir Sheikh Tamim and his delegation had a panoramic view of the historic city of Diriyah,
Later, King Salman and Sheikh Tamim reviewed fraternal ties between the two countries in addition to a number of issues of common interest and latest developments in the region.
The audience was attended by a number of princes, ministers and senior officials from both sides.
Shiekh Tamim also called on Yemeni President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi and discussed the regional developments.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Tamim was received at Riyadh Airport by Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy crown prince, second deputy premier and minister of interior; Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, minister of defense, chief of the Royal Court and special adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Chief of General Intelligence Khalid Bin Ali Al-Humaidan; Qatari Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdullah Bin Thamer; and several other officials. — SG
