With regard to the article "Mideast airports going smart for smooth travel" (Apr. 12), I beg the authorities at Jeddah's international airport to implement this technology to save us from harassment at immigration. It would be a great improvement and a benefit to all passengers. Smart machines will not engage in chitchat, they will not go away unnecessarily long for prayers, will not drink tea or coffee and will work very fast and efficiently. Atiq, Online response I appreciate the efforts to create smart airports in the Kingdom. This will obviously take some time to accomplish. In the meantime, it would help if they increased the staff at the immigration counters. It always seems that 65 percent of these counters are without staff. If all of these counters were operating it would be a great benefit to all pilgrims and travelers. Mohammed Wajid, Online response
