MADINAH — Saudi Oger thrashed Pak Eagle by 67 runs to win the MCA MoneyGram CKB 2015 Championship here recently. The tournament was sponsored by MoneyGram Money Transfer Agency and organized by Madinah Cricket Association (MCA) under the aegis of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC). Saudi Oger, opting to bat first against Pak Eagle, racked up 207-6 as Azizullah hammered 105 runs in 60 balls with 13 fours. Sajid hit 46. Shakeel took 3 wickets and Asif 2. Pak Eagles, in reply, could make only 140. Faiyyaz top scored with 29. Waseem and Aqeel claimed 3 wickets each, while Manzour took 2.
The prize distribution ceremony took place after the match. Yahya Saif, from the office of the Madinah Munawwara Mayor, was the chief guest along with Sadequl Islam and Rahat Ali from SCC, MCL President Naeem Majeed, Dr. Syed Ansaram, Mushtaque, Zahid Amin, Imtiyaz Mughal, Jahanzeb and Qaiser Butt. Speaking on the occasion Saif said the Baladiya of Madinah will allot a ground for MCA. The MoneyGram winner's trophy was awarded to Saudi Oger skipper Azhar and the runner-up to Abdulrauf of Pak Eagles. Special awards: Man of the Tournament — Rehan; Best Batsman — Azizullah; and Best Bowler — Shahid. Plaque of appreciation from MCA was received by Sadequl Islam. Special mementoes were given by SCC.
