MADINAH — Pak Eagle beat Pak United by 10 runs to lift the MCA MoneyGram CKB T20 crown here recently. Nine teams took part in the tournament sponsored by MoneyGram and organized by Madinah Cricket Association (MCA) under the aegis of Saudi Cricket Centre. Batting first Pak Eagle scored 186 for the loss of six wickets. Fayyaz Chauhan hit 9 boundaries for his 65. Jahangir added 28 and Rehan 24. Nazim and Imran bagged 2 wickets each. Pak United, in reply, fell short by 10 runs. Captain Atique made 56 with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. Shahnawaz added 43. Pak Eagle gave away 36 extras. Adnan and Shakeel picked up 2 wickets each. The final was followed by prize distribution ceremony. SCC officials Sadiqul Islam and Hamid Rana were the chief guests. Tariq Mishkhas, Editor-in-Chief of Urdu News attended the ceremony as a special guest. A huge number of cricket fans from different walks of life also witnessed the colorful event. The distinguished guests distributed trophies and cash prizes among the top performers. The awards went to: Fayyaz Chauhan of Pak Eagle – Man of the Match, Rashid Minhas of Saudi Oger - Best Batsman, Manzoor Nakyana of Saudi Oger - Player of the Tournament, Anis of Madinah Diamond - Best Bowler, Aftab of Airport-XI - official scorer. Zohaib and Mustafa of Friends-XI along with Touseef of Airport-XI and Ghulam Rasool of Bismillah-XI were given special awards for officiating the matches. United Stars captain Atique received the runner-up trophy, while Pak Eagle skipper Rauf Butta was awarded the champion's cup. Later Islam, Rana and Mishkhas addressed the audience and appreciated the efforts made by Madinah Cricket Association President Syed Zahid Ali and his colleagues. — SG
