Police officer hurt while making arrest

QURAYYAT — A police officer here injured his right arm while arresting a man who was trying to evade capture and cross the border into Jordan on Wednesday.
Al-Jouf Police spokesman Col. Turki Al-Muwaishir said police received reports of a man in a pickup truck trying to cross the border into Jordan.
Police tried to stop the suspect but he resisted arrest, leaving officers no choice but to resort to force to apprehend him.
The suspect sustained injuries to his leg and right thigh while the arresting officer was also injured. The suspect was taken to the hospital and his case has been forwarded to the pertinent authorities.
