Published in The Saudi Gazette on 29 - 03 - 2015

Executive management staff of Al Rushaid Construction Company Ltd. headed by Norman K. Macapagal (Sr. Vice President) and Mercado T. Magno (General Manager), Mohammed Ahmed Ali (Finance Director) and Vicente A. Gayya (Sr. AVP-Marketing) celebrate after retaining ISO 9001:2008 certification confirmed by TUV Nord Auditing Team headed by Shihab K. Ismail and Mohammed V. Ameen.
Al Rushaid Construction Co., Ltd., (ARCC), a joint venture between Al Rushaid Petroleum Investments Company (ARPIC), a highly diversified conglomerate and EEI Corporation, a leading construction company in the Philippines, has retained its ISO 9001:2008 certification.
TUV Nord of Germany has issued ARCC's International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification after the latter has successfully complied with all the requirements for the issuance of this high-level certification highlighting the strength of its quality assurance system. This underscores ARCC's commitment to continually improve its operational performance and its ability to meet customer needs.
The ISO 9001:2008 is a set of standards related to quality management systems designed to enable organizations to ensure they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, while complying with statutory and regulatory requirements. It is the world's most recognizable quality management standard, and helps organizations increase efficiency of their operations, realize cost savings and continually improve quality of their products and services.
The audit which TUV Nord of Germany conducted last March 11-12, 2015 resulted in ARCC's satisfactorily meeting the requirements for the recertification procedure. In a report submitted by the auditors, it noted that the audit went smoothly as plan and that no non-conformances were identified during the process.
In achieving this milestone ISO 9001:2008 certification, ARCC is able to highlight its commitment to providing clients with the highest level of quality assurance in the management of its construction projects. Moreover, the certification demonstrates the company's ability to deliver a well-defined quality management system that complies with the most stringent international standards. This is another feather in the company's cap of achievements in terms of quality management.
With the ISO 9001:2008 certification, ARCC assures its clients that it will continue to look for ways to achieving operational performance that meets and even exceeds customer needs, while motivating and further engaging its employees with more efficient internal processes. — SG
