AL-QASSIM — Sialkot Stallions thrashed Pak Dauliya by 8 wickets to bag the Al-Qassim Cricket League MoneyGram Championship here. Pak Dauliya, put into bat, was bowled out for 189. Sajid Cheema contributed 40, Atif Ali 20, Mohammed Atteq 38 and Arshad 33. Amir, Ansar and Awais claimed 2 wickets each. Sialkot Stallions reached the target of 190 in the 19th over for the loss of two wickets. Ansar blasted 43, Mubashir 74 with 7 fours and Mudassir 54. In the semifinals Sialkot Stallions downed Shaheen-XI by 5 wickets. Shaheen posted 199 for 4 with Bakar making 44 and Amir 52. Sialkot Stallions chased down the target with 5 wickets in hand as Mubashir scored 59 and Mudassir 64. In the other semifinal, Pak Dauliya beat Janbaaz-XI by 76 runs. Pak Dauliya piled up 233 for 2 through Sajid Cheema (104) and Asad (50). Janbaaz, in reply, could manage only 157 for 8. Bilal hit 51 and Nawaz 62. Wajid and Abdulgaffar claimed 2 scalp each. An awards ceremony was organized after the final. It was attended by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) officials Sadiqul Islam and Rahat Choudhry, chairman Zulfikhar Roomi, Mohammed Zafar Tehseen, president of AQCL, vice president Nasir Rasheed and Afaq Masoodi. Islam congratulated AQCL for successfully organizing the MoneyGram cricket event. Sialkot Stallions captain was handed the winner's trophy, while Pak Dauliya skipper was given the runner-up cup. The trophy for the best batsman was given to Sajid Cheema, while Bilal Ahmed was named the best bowler. All the participating players were given medals. Umpires were given cash awards. — SG
