MAKKAH — The Ministry of Health's announcement that all of its first aid centers will be open around the clock has upset female doctors and nurses, Makkah reported. The ministry said on its website that paramedics would also be available to serve patients around the clock. However, women doctors and nurses were unhappy at potentially being obligated to work double shifts. They said the new hours were inconvenient because they would have difficulties ensuring transportation to go home early in the morning and then return to work in the evening. They also said that they have children and did not want to neglect their duties as mothers and wives.
