IHG launches new snack and fruit cocktail menus
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 03 - 2015

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has launched a new program for its lounges across Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The new program sees its outlets serve up an exciting new range of updated fruit cocktails and a range of appetizing lounge snacks designed by IHG chefs from across the Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region.
The program has launched across IHG's managed InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels and resorts throughout Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, with menus tailored to each of the individual brands and their guests' tastes.
The fruit cocktail menus feature both classic and contemporary drinks, with guests' choices ranging from the classic Shirley Temple or the more refreshing and modern Watermelon Cucumber Punch.
The snack menus have been tailored by each of the hotel brands, with InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels and resorts offering up their own range of unique dishes for the lounges.
Created by top chefs from across IHG hotels in AMEA to showcase regional flavors, the new and improved dishes will complement the new fruit cocktails on offer, giving guests a heightened experience.
Some of the new snacks on offer include:
• InterContinental: Ahi Tuna Poke, Wagyu Beef Sliders and Crispy Roasted Duck Spring Rolls
• Crowne Plaza: Truffle Beef Tartar Puff Sandwich, Lime & Garlic Marinated Mussels and Tomato & Parmesan Arancini with Basil Pesto
• Holiday Inn: Artichoke & Parmesan Rolls, Snapper & Prawn Stuffed Green Chilis and Lamb Kofta
Guests can enjoy these new menus across IHG hotels in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, from the center of the holy city at InterContinental Dar Al Hijra Madinah, Crowne Plaza Jeddah in the heart of the city's diplomatic district and at the relaxing Holiday Inn Yanbu, set in lush, landscaped gardens to Crowne Plaza Kuwait, which is renowned for its numerous well-regarded signature restaurants.
Phil Broad, Vice President, Food & Beverage, AMEA, IHG, said: “We know that we already provide a fantastic food and beverage offering to our guests - whether that's a sumptuous three course meal in one of our specialty restaurants, a filling breakfast at an all-day dining restaurant or a meal in the privacy of your room through in room dining.
The launch of these new lounge menus enhances our guests' experience outside of these main meal times - so we can provide guests with an excellent food and drink experience, whatever time of day it is and however big or small the appetite.” — SG
