With reference to the article "Expats ‘commit a crime every 24 minutes' (March 2), in every society any where in the world there are good and bad people. Crime is not related to expatriates alone. Making expatriates like they are criminals is not appropriate. The best thing to do is to give the reason why they commit crimes, regardless of whether they are Saudis or expatriates. One case is clear: That due to high prices and the temptation to earn quick money in peddling alcohol, expats may be involved. But what has been done to stop them from committing crimes? Expats under the spotlight once again! I hope this does not follow the line which tells how many billions of riyals are being remitted by expatriates back home. Or is there a suggestion crimes are committed only by expats?
