JEDDAH — A Saudi Arabian Airlines Airbus 320 collided with a service vehicle that crossed its pathway while the plane was taxiing to a hangar at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the airport authority said. The plane was not carrying any passengers at the time of the accident, which took place at 3.14 a.m. A ground services employee who was driving the vehicle sustained slight injuries and was rushed to a medical clinic, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Spokesman for the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Khaled Al-Khaibari said the accident resulted in some damage to the plane's right engine. An investigation is under way into the cause of the accident.
