The General Authority for Civil Aviation on Saturday launched its new plan to boost commercial projects in VIP lounges in all local and international airports in the Kingdom. The project comes as a step to activate the private sector's role in aviation investment and to present the best possible service for passengers, as well as to increase income, said GACA spokesman Khaled Al-Khaibari. “The project's launch comes after the GACA council approved the development of airports with the participation of the private sector, and the application of higher quality standards,” said Al-Khaibari. He said several analytical studies and research projects were conducted prior to the launch of the project to ensure continued economic benefits for GACA. Feb. 14 is the last day to receive offers from companies, which will be reviewed by a special committee of experts and consultants. To assist those companies that plan to make an offer, GACA has set up a website link that contains all the required information, he said.
