JEDDAH — Bazm-e-Ittehad Jeddah, an Indian community organization, is organizing its 4th annual Mushaira (poetry recitation evening) Bayaad Salar-e-Millat 2015 here on Feb. 20 in memory of Salar-e-Millat Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi. The group will also celebrate its silver jubilee on the occasion. President Bazme-Ittehad Saudi Arab and Canada Ahmeduddin Owasi will preside over the event. Imtiyaz Jaleel and Waris Pathan, members of All India Majlis Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen as well as members of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, will be the guests of honor. The reception committee of Bazm-e-Ittehad Jeddah comprises Dr. Syed Ali Mahmoud, Hasan Bayazid Ather, Mohd Ubaid ur Rahman, Mirza Mazhar Ali Baig, Mohd. Yousufuddin Amjad, Mohd. Abdul Qayum, Asrar Ahmed Siddiqui and Syed Khaja Viqaruddin. Poets visiting from India are Naeem Akhter Burhanpuri, Rabab Rashidi, Anjum Barabankvi, Agha Sarrosh, Shafeeq Abidi, Mohammed Ali Wafa, Waheed Pasha Qadri and Syed Alamdar Rizvi. Guest poet Shafeeq Abidi will act as a compère. Separate seating arrangements are being made for women. Urdu poetry lovers interested in attending the Mushaira may contact convener Hasan Bayazid Ather. Invitation cards will be distributed on Monday between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. at Shadab Restaurant in Azizia district on first-come-first-served basis. — SG
