Published in The Saudi Gazette on 15 - 02 - 2015

Ericsson was declared the number 3 Best Workplace in Asia 2015 during Great Place to Work's first-ever Best Workplaces in Asia Awards ceremony. The event, held at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai on Feb. 5, brought together HR and Marketing professionals from different key sectors.
The first edition of the ranking – which follows a survey covering a slew of companies across various industries in Asia – includes countries such as Australia, Greater China, India, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Sri Lanka. The Best Workplaces in Asia List is the newest ranking produced by world-renowned research and management consultancy Great Place to Work.
As the 2nd great workplace in KSA and the 4th great workplace in the UAE in 2014, Ericsson was selected for the Great Place to Work Best Workplaces in Asia List 2015, along with an elite group of 59 other workplaces. More than 900 companies participated in national list studies spanning eight Asia-region countries where Great Place to Work is represented. Based on this, the 60 Best Workplaces in Asia were determined.
“We are so proud to have been ranked number 3 in Great Place to Work's' inaugural Best Workplaces to Work in Asia List,” said Rafiah Ibrahim, President Ericsson Region Middle East and East Africa. “At Ericsson, we pride ourselves on having an open, innovative, flexible, and a dynamic work environment that promotes individual development and business excellence. We are always striving for improved performance and superior business results. While we do so, our employees are at the heart of it and being ranked number 3 is a testament to our team members' strong commitment, sense of pride that they associate with being part of Ericsson family and making it the leader it is in the business. We would like to congratulate each one of them for this achievement and thank them for their strong commitment.”
Great Place to Work Institute conducts an evaluation of each participating company via a survey sent to the organization's employees. The anonymous survey asks questions related to management's credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction. An additional score is based on a second survey that is designed to assess each company's pay benefits program, hiring processes, internal communications and development. — SG
