MoneyGram CKB kicks off in EPCA

DAMMAM — Under the banner of Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) and sponsored by MoneyGram through Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC), the MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah T20 Tournament commenced here recently.
Bindelamah Adpco crushed Royal Kashmir in style by 114 runs. Bindelamah set a daunting target of 264. Aqeel Azad scored 75 in 41 balls, Adarsh 67 not out, Mohammed Ijaz 62 in 23 balls and Ali Rizwan 42. Royal Kashmir could manage only 149. Shoib (31) played well. Shahid Mahmood and Sumair Abid bagged two wickets each.
Bindelamah Rockers beat Plus Arabia by 34 runs. Bindelamah Rockers put on 173. Biju Viswan (50) and Manoj Neelaka (27) played well.
Gulam Nabi, Noor and Awais picked up two wickets each. In reply, Plus Arabia was all out for 139. Ijaz Afridi scored 46. James Mathews claimed 3-23 and Dass Abhin 3-18.
SACCO outplayed Edutech Young Guns by 48 runs. SACCO set a target of 237 runs in 20 overs. Sajeed Ansari scored 48 in 18 balls with 8 fours and a six.
Abdul Mannan hit 38 and Umair Sharif 83 in 38 balls with 5 fours and 7 sixe. Ammar, Sayeed and Emad claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Edutech managed only 185. Asif (57 in 31 balls), Arsalan (32 in 20 balls) and Raif (29 in 16 balls) played well. All-rounder Umair Sharif claimed 3-32 and Syed Yasin 2-31.
In another match, KFUPM edged SAB Middle East by 8 runs. KFUPM scored 207 and then restricted SAB to 199. Asad Ur Rahman of KFUPM hammered 131 with 12 boundaries and 8 sixes and Ayub contributed 23. For SAB Shoaib Aslam scored 70 in 36 balls, Waqis Anwar 25 and Dada Wali 23. Waseem scalped 3 wickets, while Ayub, Waleed and Arif us Salaam got two each.
Star Steel Hyderabad beat Binzagr CC by 37 runs. Star Steel Hyderabad set a target of 140 with Abdul Qayyum scoring 61 in 43 balls.
Awais got 4 for 22. Binzagr was bowled out for 102 with Faroukh (23) and Owaid (21) being the main contributors. Fahad claimed 4 wickets, Asghar 3 and Akram 2.
In another match, Team Arabia was all out for 141 after being put into bat by Al-Bawardi. Mansoor Padiyath (43) Kannan Gopi (27) and Hussain (25) played well.
Osman Abdulghani claimed two wickets. In reply, Al-Bawardi easily chased the target of 141 in 17 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Shajeeullah scored 48 in 30 balls, Baseer (37) and Parvez (25 not out).
DHL beat Hyderabad Greens by 3 wickets. Hyderabad Greens, opting to bat first, set a target of 170. Atif scored 44 in 23 balls, while Atif remained unbeaten on 32. Shams (24) and Ejaz (23) were the other contributors. Rehan and Nirmal got two wickets each. In reply, DHL was home in 19 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Asad Kamal scored 42 with 9 fours. Mahbub and Manazir contributed 25 each. Atif bowled well and claimed 4 wickets for 28.
In other matches: KLV Al-Khodari thrashed Zamil Industrial by 5 wickets; Indomie Young Stars downed Enerco by 23 runs; Bilal Tigers lost to GULF CC by two wickets; Eastern Arabia beat Kashmir XI; Emerald Ashes won by 4 wickets against JCI CC; Gladiators lost to Friends; and Evergreen CC beat Al-Rashed Cement CC by 26 runs. — SG
