With regard to the post “A one-sided article” (Feb. 5), both India and Pakistan should abide by their commitments and give the people of Kashmir a chance to choose their own destiny, making it a humanitarian issue rather than a territorial dispute. And of the four provinces you call Pakistan, five if you include “independent Kashmir”, Baluchistan already wants to move out like Bangladesh. So is this not the sign of a failed state? Nothing has harmed Muslims of the subcontinent more than the concept of Pakistan. Muslims of the subcontinent, including those in Kashmir, would have been in a much better position today if that concept was not there. Since they did not want to stay with India they made the country into two and then three countries and now they want to make four countries, i.e 1. India 2. Pakistan 3. Bangladesh and 4. Kashmir. Now is not the time to divide these states into more countries. Instead, we should plan how to unite all of them into one country.
