Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — King Abdullah always endeavored to offer assistance to the poor and the needy and had the noble qualities of showing sympathy toward the weaker sections of society, chief of the International Islamic Relief Organization — Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) has said. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Ehssan Saleh Taieb expressed his profound shock at the death of King Abdullah and conveyed his deep condolences to the bereaved family, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the government and people of Saudi Arabia. Recalling the noble qualities of the deceased and his sympathy toward people as well as commitment to the just causes along with his endeavor to reinforce solidarity, brotherliness and unity between Arab and Islamic states in particular and the world in general, Ehssan Taieb prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. He said: “King Abdullah made major contributions to the development of the Kingdom and supported IIROSA in every way possible. Under his leadership, IIROSA over many decades could achieve high-level positions and remarkable progress and prosperity in terms of relief and humanitarian activities.” Paying tributes to King Abdullah's efforts in addressing regional and international challenges during these turbulent times, Ehssan Taieb said that his generous support enabled IIROSA to play an outstanding role in humanitarian and relief endeavors. "As the driving force behind the humanitarian work, King Abdullah left a tangible legacy that encourages the organization to move ahead and overcome all challenges to achieve success in its humanitarian work," Ehssan Taieb concluded.
