The IIROSA board of directors has approved American firm Deloitte and Touche Company to revamp IIROSA's organizational structure, develop its staff through implementation of the strongest training and development projects and to upgrade efficiency. Deloitte and Touche is one of the top five companies in the field of administrative consultations. IIROSA's acting Secretary-General Ehsan Saleh Taieb, during a meeting in Jeddah with the ad hoc team assigned for the task, said the organization has put forward a long-term strategy for the coming 20 years. The strategy was prepared in cooperation with King Abdulaziz University with participation of an elite group of experts involved in charity and humanitarian work. “IIROSA has been assisted by a high-level consultative committee of international experts on financial and administrative relief and humanitarian work,” he added. Taieb indicated that restructuring would enable IIROSA to develop the techniques of its work environment to make it attractive and motivating. He stressed that the actual implementation of this strategy must pass through the comprehensive administrative change without compromising the identity and approach of IIROSA or its Islamic and humanitarian inclination. Head of the Executive Team of the Strategic Plan of IIROSA, Khalid Bawazir, said the vision in the plan is to make the organization an authority on relief, charitable and humanitarian work and the first choice for donors. He added that the plan stresses taking interest in endowment and institutional investment to enable IIROSA implement its projects and programs while capitalizing on trained human resources and strategic alliances. Deloitte and Touche Company representatives Ghassan Turkiah, executive member, and Shadi Samhan, project manager, were of the view that the vision is achievable. “We have been engaged to help IIROSA with its strategic planning and reorganizing. This also means that we will revisit some of the issues such as mission, vision and objectives before redefining them,” Turkiah said. — SG
