This is in response to the article ‘Destined to the wilderness'. I would like to thank Tariq Al-Maeena for not only highlighting the caliber of expatriates but their dilemma. As you have said Saudis could have benefitted from their experience and education if they had accepted them in that concept rather than considering them an alien in their society. USA, Canada and most of the Western countries are encouraging foreign manpower and appreciate their role in developing the country while also acknowledging the role in helping to improving their economy. But due to restrictions the expatriates cannot play a similar role here. Ehsanul Haque, Online response Stress on education is important I must thank the writer Tariq Al-Maeena for this wonderful article. I am working in the medical field, and one of the problems we face is the need to introduce in the contracts of expert doctors, who is sought to work in the Kingdom, is education for their children especially in the north and south of Saudi Arabia.
