JEDDAH — MoneyGram CKB tournament, conducted by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA), kicked off with 2 matches in the Premier, 5 in the Afternoon and 6 in the Morning divisions.
MoneyGram Afternoon
AOT Youngsters defeated MCC by 21 runs. AOT Youngsters piled up 175 for 6 with Nadeem making 37, Usman 39 and Malik 26. MCC, in reply, could manage 154 for 5. Ejaz remained unbeaten on 40 and Riyaz hit 29.
Fuchs Alhamrani beat Aziziya Elegant by 41 runs. Fuchs scored 203 for 6, thanks to Abdul Ghafour, who contributed 40, Ali 43 and Irfan 27. Abdul Raheem claimed 2-33. Aziziya Elegant, in reply, made 162 for 6 as Waqar hit an unbeaten 50 in 24 balls, Atif 32 and Majed 30. Irfan took 3-30.
ET Zone humbled Choudhry-XI by 8 wickets. Choudhry-XI tallied 172 for 5. Azeem smashed 74 in 45 balls and Nazim 21. ET Zone responded with 173 for 2 in 90 balls. Usman cracked an unbeaten 68 in 33 balls.
Ali Malik remained unbeaten on 43 as the duo added 108 runs for the unbroken third wicket while Ali Awan compiled 40. Zahoor claimed 2 wickets.
Al-Safri-XI thrashed Jotun Paints by 81 runs. Al-Safri racked up a mammoth 248 for 2 through Muneeb (101 in 51 balls with 19 boundaries) and Rehan (91 in 44 balls).
The two added 189 for the opening stand. Saeed Ahmed contributed 24 not out. Shafeeq took 2-43. Jotun Paints responded with 167 for 9 as Saleem made 35 and Shabbir 24.
Zafar scalped 3-33, Waseeq 2-36, Manjeet Kumar 2-14 and Imran 2-29. Marine Services beat Zultrack by 9 wickets. Zultrack produced 132 for 6.
Aqeel Sethi hit 40 not out, Abdulmannan 21 and Sayed Sahah 20. Balay Khan took 3-25 and Shakeel 2-28. Marine Services, in reply, achieved 133 for 1. Ahmed scored an unbeaten 68 in 25 balls and Majed 44.
MoneyGram Morning
Tata Motors trounced Jeddah Royals by 8 wickets. Tata Motors achieved the victory target of 135 for 2 in 63 balls as Noor Butt hit an unbeaten 55 in 25 balls and Faisal Shahzad 35 and Asif 24 not out.
Otex beat Deloitte by 83 runs. Otex plundered 226 for 6 through Shahid (78 in 29 balls), Imtiyaz (39 not out), Maqsood (37) and Irfan (33). Asad claimed 3-28.
Deloitte, in reply, scored 143 for 6 as Owais compiled 40 and Irfan 33. Mubashir and Imtiyaz took 2 wickets each.
QRCC won against Ralco by 7 wickets. Ralco scored 121 for 7. Naeem made 28 and Mohsin 21. Majed took 2-19. QRCC reached 122 for 3 in 69 balls with Naseer contributing 46 and Amir 28.
Mercedes Benz cruised to win against Jeddah Challengers by 3 wickets. Mercedes Benz chasing a low target labored to victory (124 for 7) in 82 balls after it slumped to 97 for 6 from 77 for no loss, losing 6 wickets for 20 runs. Omer grabbed 4 for 28 and Asim 3-24. Ilyas hit 47.
Earlier, Jeddah Challengers recorded 123 for 9. Asad stood out with 27. Amir and Esham took 2 scalps each.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group downed Asian Strikers by 6 wickets. Asian Strikers posted 117 for 7 through Alam (28) and Amir (25).
Abdulraqeeb took 2-33. Al-Kabbani CG achieved 119 for 4 in 60 balls as Khaleel made 41 and Faraz 25. Adnan claimed 2-30.
ALJ Toyota humbled Sadafco by 7 wickets. Sadafco tallied 173 for 6. Zubair scored 34 and Khurram 59 in 38 balls. Tanveer Zamane scalped 3-33. Toyota reached 175 for 3 in 92 balls.
Imran hit 56 in 34 balls and Aftab remained unbeaten on 68 in 48 balls. The duo added 100 runs.
