RIYADH — Pak Shaheen will face Sama Steel, while KFSH Blues will play Lahore Lions in the Saudi Orix Tournament semifinals here.
The tournament is sponsored by Saudi Orix Leasing Company and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
In the 40-over Al-Kharaj League, Fayyaz's stunning knock of 195 helped Punjab Lions defeat Amir Holidays. Batting first, Amir Holidays posted 332 for 8. Both openers Sami Arshad (101) and Sami Ullah (104) scored centuries. Punjab Lions chased the target in 29.4 thanks to Fayyaz's unbeaten innings of 195 (3 sixes and 36 fours). Asmat added 50. Saeed, Ayaz and Imran took a wicket each.
In a do-or-die battle, Pak Shaheen thumped CKK by 4 wickets. CKK scored 263. Abuzar and Abdul Waheed picked up 3 wickets each, while Abdul Wahab got 2. Pak Shaheen got to the target for the loss of 6 wickets in 27.4 overs. Faisal top-scored with 92. Abdul Waheed made his comeback with 59. In the 20-over Huraymala League, Falcons downed Riyadh Fighters by 21 runs. Falcons scored 185 with Farrukh scoring 53 and Asif 33. Majid got 3 wickets. Fighters were all out for 165. Hameed and Tassaduq managed 39 each. Farrukh and Sajid claimed 3 wickets each.
Tigers lost to Sulaiman-XI by 2 wickets. Tigers put on 170. Shakeel and Sulaiman took 3 wickets each. Sulaiman-XI was home for the loss of 8 wickets. Bukhari smashed 60, while Shakeel helped the cause with 40.
Crescent humbled KFSH Green by 59 runs. Crescent, batting first, scored 172 for 7. Asim top scored with 55. Mansoor, Sohail and Junaid got a wicket each. KFSH Green was bowled out for 113. Sohail smashed 51. Mubashir took 4 wickets, while Mohsin, Usman and Waseem got 2 each.
Fonte Star won against Fuchs by 2 wickets. Fuchs set a target for 163. Shoaib batted well for his 67. Mustakin scored 35. Yasir bowled brilliantly for his 5 wickets, while Waheed picked up 2. Fonte Stars reached the target for the loss of 8 wickets. Bilal Wani hit 84 and Imtiyaz 42. Yousef grabbed 3 wickets, while Noor and Jawed picked 2 wickets each.
In a close encounter, AKCC edged Pakistan Falcons by 3 runs. AKCC put on 182. Adnan and Imran scored 47 and 26, respectively. Afsar, Yasir, Shamim and Qasim got 2 wickets each. Pakistan Falcons were all out for 179. Yasir top scored with 85, while Waqar managed 35. Latafat and Sultan grabbed 3 wickets each.
Riyadh Warriors lost to Imran-XI by 5 runs. Riyadh Warriors scored 160. Abdul Azeez and Abdul Rahim posted 29 and 25, respectively. Majid picked up 3 wickets. Imran-XI got to 161 for the loss of 5 wickets. Azrath top scored with 68. Shakeel claimed 3 wickets.
