JEDDAH — The International Islamic Relief Organization, Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) discussed the significance of enhanced cooperation and partnership with an OIC specialized institution in Libya — the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent (ICIC) in the field of providing humanitarian services worldwide. The meeting was held between Dr. Abdullah Habhab, IIROSA director-general of programs and welfare, Abdul Rahman Matar, director of IIROSA offices affairs, and Dr. Mohamed H. Elasbali, executive director of the ICIC here recently. The objective of the meeting was to establish a relationship between both the organizations to improve humanitarian cooperation and delivery for the poor people, including all the possible efforts to support the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Libya. Dr. Abdullah Habhab briefed the delegate on the IIROSA's work and humanitarian activities including charitable achievements of the organization. He said: "The IIROSA believes in an unbiased humanitarian work and coordination with ICIC will help it expand and reach a larger number of people around the world.”
Dr. Elasbali briefed the meeting on ICIC activities and mentioned that the specialized institution offers humanitarian assistance in all the OIC member countries, including in Libya where there are many problems. He said he was highly impressed by IIROSA's efforts which reflect the humanitarian commitment of the organization that reinforces international solidarity.
