OXFORD, Mississippi — Bo Wallace threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, as No. 11 Mississippi came back from a fourth-quarter deficit to stun No. 3 Alabama 23-17 Saturday.
Ole Miss has won five games to start the season for the first time since 1962 and ended a 10-game losing streak against the Crimson Tide.
The Rebels trailed 17-10 midway through the fourth quarter, but pulled even on Wallace's 34-yard touchdown pass to Vince Sanders with 5:29 remaining.
On the ensuing kickoff, Alabama's Christion Jones fumbled and Ole Miss recovered, giving the Rebels great field position at the Alabama 31.
Ole Miss took a 23-17 lead on Wallace's 10-yard touchdown throw to Jaylen Walton with 2:54 remaining.
At Fort Worth, Texas, Paul Dawson returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown as No. 25 TCU made a huge fourth-and-1 stop with just over 3 minutes left to down No. 4 Oklahoma 37-33.
Dawson's big pick for TCU came with 14:12 left. He reached up with both hands to grab the ball and raced untouched for a score to make it 37-31.
No. 12 Mississippi State beat No. 6 Texas A&M 48-31 after Dak Prescott threw two touchdown passes and added three Tebow-style TD runs.
Despite a lackluster effort from Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, the No. 1 Seminoles trounced Wake Forest 43-3, while Nick Marshall passed for 207 yards and two touchdowns for No. 5 Auburn and ran for 119 and two more scores in a 41-7 win over No. 15 LSU.
At Austin, Texas, Shock Linwood ran for 148 yards and the clinching touchdown as No. 7 Baylor overcame a rare off day by quarterback Bryce Petty to defeat Texas 28-7, and No. 9 Notre Dame edged No. 14 Stanford 17-14 after Everett Golson threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Ben Koyack in the corner of the end zone with 1:01 left.
In other games, No. 10 Michigan State beat No. 19 Nebraska 27-22; No. 13 Georgia downed Vanderbilt 44-17; Arizona State slipped past No. 16 USC 38-34; and Northwestern were 20-14 winners over No. 17 Wisconsin.
J.T. Barrett completed 18 of 23 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns and ran 16 times for 71 yards and a score as No. 20 Ohio downed Maryland 52-24; No. 21 Oklahoma beat Iowa 37-20; No. 22 East Carolina defeated SMU 45-24; and No. 23 Kansas State had a 45-13 victory over Texas Tech. — AP
