JEDDAH — Minister of Justice Mohammad Al-Eisa said 922 judges will undergo inspection this year as part of the yearly plan the ministry has adopted to measure the performance of the judiciary. He pointed out that the tests will be carried out by 19 inspectors to measure performance based on Article 20 of the standards of judicial procedures. Al-Eisa explained that the judges' performance will be measured based on the time taken to review cases and reaching a verdict, the speed with which they respond to queries from higher courts and steps they take to deal with urgent cases, such as those involving alimony and visitation rights.
