Saudi Gazette report RIYADH – The Supreme Judicial Council has sacked four judges in Makkah and Riyadh and a number of notary publics in various regions who were found guilty of forging land deeds and medical reports with the collaboration of some private polyclinics, Al-Watan newspaper reported on Sunday. It said the Council based its decisions on reports compiled by a number of judicial inspectors who were asked by the Ministry of Justice to make surprise inspection tours to the courts. The inspectors made a number of observations about the sacked judges including weak performance and the unnecessary delaying of lawsuits. In some cases, the judges allowed the cases to drag on for more than seven months without deciding on them. One of the judges repeated the same offense more than once and the ministry had to transfer him to another court as a disciplinary measure but he committed the same offense again. The decision to dismiss the judges was made after other disciplinary measures proved to be ineffective in making them and the notary publics comply with the rules and regulations.
