Abdullah Al-Dani Okaz/Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Riyadh appeals court delivers its verdict on civil appeal cases within two weeks on average. Only criminal cases require more time to reach a decision, Dr. Mohammad Al-Eisa, Minister of Justice, has said. In a meeting with the president and members of Riyadh appeals court, the minister said that some crucial measures have been taken that have relieved pressure on courts. These measure are: Setting up of the reconciliation center that was recently approved by the Council of Ministers, the new arbitration system that will be referred to the appeals courts directly, and specialization of judges. He added that negative publicity on the Kingdom's judicial system was caused by either inaccurate information or reaction to a judgment not liked by vested interests.
