AIUS hosts literary expo in honor of Indian community member

RIYADH — The All India United Society (AIUS) organized an exhibition displaying literary work and contributions of prominent poet, author and physician Dr. Hanif Tarin here last week.
The exhibition featured memorable pictures and books of Hanif alongside articles and interviews about the author published in different newspapers, magazines and journals.
Hanif has 13 publications including nine Urdu books and two books each in Arabic and English to his credit.
His book, “The Truth of Terrorism,” was the center of attraction for the visitors as it had words of appreciation written by none other than former Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in his handwriting.
President of India Islamic Cultural Center, New Delhi, Sirajuddin Qureshi and prominent businessman and Chairman of the Riyadh-based Delhi Public School (DPS) Nadeem Tarin jointly inaugurated the exhibition at Riyadh Palace Hotel.
Hanif is a renowned poet, author and physician, who was working with the Ministry of Health for the last 33 years.
Alongside his job his contribution for the promotion of Urdu literature is remarkable. As Hanif returns to India, the AIUS organized this memorable exhibition to recognize his three decades of contributions and services.
After inaugurating the exhibition, Qureshi hailed the efforts of AIUS for appreciating the literary efforts of Hanif in a unique way.
Qureshi, who was here on an invitation extended by Nadeem, presented a memento of appreciation to Hanif on behalf AIUS.
Hanif thanked AIUS President Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali and all his associates for the excellent display of his literary work. — SG
