RIYADH — Kohinoor Toastmasters Club 9209 conducted its 17th annual day celebration and induction ceremony recently at La Sani Restaurant here. The induction ceremony was attended by several eminent Toastmasters, including Dist 79 Governor Elect DTM Joey Villanueva, Dist 79 Treasurer Elect Abdullah Filimban, Incoming Div B Governor Toastmaster Thangaswami, Div A Gov Jovet, the outgoing Div. B Gov. Toastmaster Syed Waqas, the incoming Area 22 Gov. Toastmaster Yasin Ali, outgoing Area 22 Gov. Toastmaster Sunila Chaku, among others. The New Excom TM Chandrasekaran was inducted as the president. DTM Joey stressed on the importance of “Toastmastering” and suggested parents need to introduce their kids to the world of “Toastmastering,” as it will mold their leadership, team building, character and public speaking traits from a very young age. He lauded the various contributions made by Kohinoor Toastmasters Club. Kohinoor Toastmasters club was established in the year 1997. The club has produced many successful and well acclaimed Toastmasters, and is still doing so. The event began with detailed report of the Excom Year 2013 proceeded by speeches delivered by many stalwarts from the Toastmaster fraternity. KTM Magazine “Luminous” was also released by Toastmaster Navaz and Serjith. The entertainment session included family games, and performances were delivered by Kohinoorian child artists. The grand finale of the event was marked by stunning modern fusion dance performed by Toastmasters Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Ilyas and Abu Anas Suleiman. — SG
