JEDDAH — Toastmaster Club VOICE (993464) elected its new set of officers for 2013-2014 at a recent ceremony themed around “Be Heard & Set Your VOICE Free.” Area 24 TM Governor Gino Ruperez served as the Installing Officer for the new sets of officers and congratulated all the outgoing officers for their accomplishments. The newly inducted club officers are TM Abdullah Hussain Al Attas, CC, CL - president; TM Samia Aqeel Khan, CC - vice president education; TM Anitha Beevi Kooloth, CC - vice-president membership; TM Ramces Paquibot Dungog, CC – vice-president public relations; TM Javed Mohammed Jassar, secretary; TM Shabnam Kavumpurath, treasurer; and TM Clark Roger C. Arceno, sergeant at arms. During his acceptance speech, Al Attas thanked the outgoing officers on their success last year, and showed confidence and trust in the newly elected officers who will take the club to a higher level. The outgoing president, TM Dr. Abdul Jaleel Padinjare, ACB, CL expressed his gratitude to the outgoing set of officers and congratulated the new set of officers. Current District 79 LGET Joey Villlanueva, DTM was the master of ceremonies and encouraged members to teach others, introducing the campaign “E1T1- Each One Teach One.” In the message, which was read in her absence, Past Division Governor DTM Maria Teresa Villanueva advised the members to be committed and be flexible in their approach. Past Area 24 Governor TM Dennis Oppus, who was in Bahrain, said that dedication, hard work and quality has been the backbone of the club's success. Past presidents of VOICE Toastmaster Club, AGET TM Johnnygene Padillo and TM Joesil Villanueva were also present at the occasion. Division G Governor TM Saifuddeen, who was present during the installation process, encouraged members to tap each other's potential. VOICE was born out of a Speech Craft Program in 2006; it has produced many distinguished toastmasters, district officers, division governors, area governors, officers, speech champions and leaders. — SG
