Jayanta K. Mog, newly elected president of the Toast of Comsofil – (Club 1157-79) was presented with the District 79 Toastmaster's “triple crown award”, during the induction ceremonies of its club's new set of officers and acceptance of new members here recently. Mog was this year's sole recepient of the distinguished award for achieving three educational awards as competent communicator, competent leader and competent communicator bronze. His name and his achievements will be included in the District 79 “Hall of Fame” gallery and directory. In his acceptance speech he challenged all officers to take their own intitiatives in moving towards ultimate success. Mog was newly appointed as the Area 1 Governor, Division A, Riyadh District 79. “This is the very first time in the history of TOC since 2001 that “TheTalk-up Toastmaster's Award” was ever achieved and handed to a qualified and deserving TOC member. It is heartwarming to say that it is under the incumbent leadership and under District 79 stewardship that it was realized,” Mog said during a personal interview. The theme of this year's annual celebration is “Toast of Comsofil – Progressing Towards Ultimate Success”. The ceremonies kicks off with the recitation of the Toasmaster's Motto, followed by the singing of the Phil. National Anthem led by TM Norma Noble. The opening remarks delivered by CC/CL Jovett Lopez and CC/CL Marilyn Costuna introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Vice-Consul Paulo Saret, delivered his inspirational message highlighting the zeal of Toasmaster's goal of enhancing public speaking and developing leadership skills among individuals from all walks of life and nationality. He also noted that toastmastering is a form of community service where everyone can share his knowledge and skills, and develop his overall personality, the statement added. ACG/CL Enrico Abad led the discharging of duties for the outgoing TOC Officers. Heartwarming farewell speech delivered by ACB/CL Nestor Galang. Area 1 Governor Snehdeep Fulzele presided the induction of the incoming officers. Inducted into office were Jayanta K, Mog - President, Jovett M. Lopez –VP Education, Danny Tenerefi – VP Membership, Fe de Alvarado – VP Public Relations, Marben Asari – Secretary, Modesto Gibas – Treasurer, and Laureano Ortega – Sgt.-at-Arms. CC/CL Danny Tenerefi led the induction of new Club members TMs Fe Alvarado, Benedict Lat, Frederick Siriban and dual members TMs Richard Virtudazo, Irfaleen “Pinky”Fuentes-Amores and ACB/ALB Jorge Nathaniel Amores. Special awards, trophies and certificates were awarded to the lucky TOC members: an educational award of Competent Communicator was presented to CC Lareano Ortega and a rare award – the Triple Crown Award was formally presented to ACB/ALB Jayanta K. Mog. Other Toastmaster's Club who attended the ceremonies were the Sand Dunes, PRTC, Riyadh Toastmaster's Club and Kohinoor Toastmaster's Club. Mohammed Mohsin, Assistant Division A Governor for Education and Training delivered his congratulatory message on behalf of Div. Gov. ACB/CL Hassan Maghazel. COMSOFIL President Salavador “Buddy”Villalino and BOT Adolfo Muga, Jr also presented their congratulatory messages. The program ended with hearty toast by ACB/ALB Jorge Nathaniel Amores.
