RIYADH — A team of the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation (SCOT) conducted 16 organ transplants last week. These operations — 10 kidney, four liver and two heart transplantations — were made possible due to donations from five brain dead patients in the Kingdom and Qatar. The head of administrative coordination at SCOT, Hassan Al-Khanani, said willingness of citizens to donate organs has been increasing. Administrative coordinator Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi said close coordination between concerned bodies in the Kingdom and Qatar facilitated the procedures of these transplants quickly.
