JEDDAH – Halqa-e-Danish is setting a new mile stone in the realm of Jeddah's literary history by organizing such beautiful and literary programs and Mushairahs. Its present Tarahi Mushairah will be remembered by the poets and audience forever for such a successful effort in matching the rhythmic meter and general poetic atmosphere by composing poems in the same meter of Ghazal maestros. “Qabil Ajmeri's couplet's second line “Kabhi khar wajhe nishat hai, kabhi phool wajhe malal hai” has drawn the attention of not only the Kingdom's Urdu poets but also the poets from India and Pakistan, and many of them have succeeded in composing Ghazals in the same meter in an articulate way. I praise their efforts and assure Halqa-e-Danish for Pakistan Consulate's support in their service of Urdu language and literature,” said Tahseemul Haq Haqqi, welfare consular at Pakistani Consulate Jeddah in the Halqa-e-Danish Tarahi Mushairah at the residence of Amin Najmi. Syed's line was selected from other four lines of the poets, and he was awarded the “Nishan-e-Halqa-e-Danish.” The poets who participated in this Tarahi Mushairah were Naseem-e-Sehar (Pakistan), Shama Zafar Mehdi (India) Salman Rafeeq (Taif), Ahmed Rabbani Mahroom (Taif), Mohsin Alavi, Mona Najmi, Afsar Barabankavi, Irfan Barabankavi, Anwar Hussain, Zawwar Qamar Abidi, Dr. Mahmood Iqbal Haider, Zamurrad Saifi, AbdulQayyum Wasiq, Muhammad Mukhtar Ali, Anwar Ansari, Mujahid Syed, Athar Nafees Abbasi and Syed Qamar Haider Qamar from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
