I am writing with regard to the post “Pay Kingdom-born expats the same salaries as Saudis” (May 16). I have recently moved to Saudi Arabia and the discrimination I see here against different communities and different work groups is staggering. As you correctly mentioned, my brother, being a Muslim country Saudi Arabia should uphold the rights of residents and citizens alike. Just look at the recent Makkah floods. Even in a natural calamity, there is discrimination between Saudis and expats. Look at the United States and you will see that many of the top positions in various research, banking, and even government fields are filled by naturalized citizens. Abu Fatimah, Online response
