‘Kafeels' are modern slave masters

With regard to the article “Qatar to end sponsorship system for foreign workers” (May 15), it is good to see yet another Gulf country abolishing this outdated slavery system. We can only hope that the rest will follow suit. The whole kafeel system is no different from slavery. And the kafeels are modern slave masters.
