MAKKAH — Two fuel trucks collided Tuesday night near the exit of King Khalid Tunnel in Al-Aziziyah neighborhood of Makkah. The accident resulted in fuel leakage from one of the trucks and the traffic police closed down the tunnel as a precautionary measure. Makkah province Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Saleh Al-Elayyani said six firefighting and special forces units were dispatched to the scene and sprayed foam on the fuel to prevent it from catching fire. Spokesman for Makkah police Capt. Ali Al-Zaharani said police patrols closed down the tunnel as a precautionary measure and diverted traffic from the area. No deaths or injuries were reported from the accident.
