DAMMAM — The head of the blackmail combating unit at the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vise (Haia) said his unit receives 14 blackmail cases a day. Sami Al-Hagaiheb told Alsharq daily that most blackmailers are over 20 and many cases involve married people. He said the majority of cases involve men blackmailing women but there are many cases of men blackmailing men and women blackmailing women. "Blackmail is considered to be a major crime and offenders are usually referred to concerned bodies for punitive action," he said.
