Thai community celebrates Family Day with zest

JEDDAH — The Royal Thai Consulate General hosted the Thai Family Day for Thais at its premises Thursday.
Thanis Na Songkhla, the newly appointed Consul-General of Thailand, welcomed the guests and wished everyone happiness on the occasion. The celebration was organized to foster unity among members of the Thai community. He also acknowledged the Thai community members for promoting their social values here.
More than 500 Thais took part in the celebration, which was marked by Thai cultural presentations and shows by Thai students of the Thai Language Distance Learning Center here.
Luck draws was also held for the attendees, and winners were presented with prizes.
Thai restaurants put on fare delectable Thai dishes for the gathering. — SG
