QURAYYAT — Two men were rescued from a burning apartment by Civil Defense firefighters on Friday. Rescue workers were able to get both men out of the apartment before the fire spread, said Northern Frontiers Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Attallah Qaran Al-Ruwaili. The fire started in a room inside the apartment in a three-floor building. Firefighters' quick response was credited for helping contain the fire. Preliminary investigations showed that the fire started due to a short circuit.
