JEDDAH – The director general of public relations and spokesman of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) Sultan Muhammad Al-Malik said hackers who recently destroyed the pages of public personalities or companies on the social networking websites or the Internet will be penalized with four years jail and a fine reaching SR3 million, SPA said. This is according to the anti-cyber crime regulations that were approved by CITC in recent years. The aim is to help achieve information security and protect people's rights in the legitimate use of computers and the Internet. He made the remarks while delivering a lecture on cyber crimes organized by Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Thursday.
