RIYADH – The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) will launch a campaign all over the Kingdom by the end of this year to raise public awareness about cyber crimes, CITC spokesman Sultan Al-Malik said. People should be acquainted with the penalties of cyber crimes and how to protect themselves against such crimes, Al-Malik said. The CITC has launched campaigns through the media and social networking sites warning against the dangers of hackers and divulging personal information online. “People need to be constantly reminded of the dangers of malicious software programs on their cell phones and other devices.”
